Jeff grew up in rural Eastern Oregon, raising pumpkins and lots of weeds on his family's small farm, playing soccer, and performing an eclectic assortment of vocal and instrumental music.
After completing his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Portland, an M.S. in Cyber Operations from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and an eight-year stint as an officer and developmental engineer in the Air Force, Jeff returned to the Pacific Northwest with his wife and five children. They were blessed to find a beautiful 10 acre property where his own children now raise weeds…err…pumpkins, along with a few chickens and Scottish Highland cattle.
"It was either continue down the academic path to a Ph.D and teaching career in the Air Force, moving my wife and kids from place-to-place every three years or separate from the military and settle down in the Pacific Northwest, close to all our family…for us the choice was easy. We wanted our kids to really know their grandparents and to experience the joy and beauty of rural life."
